Cuba tourism ads in Brazil

Published on .

Cuba broke an irreverent ad campaign by DM9, Sao Paulo, promoting its tourism to Brazil. One spot urges, "Do what eight presidents were not able to--invade Cuba"--a reference to eight White House occupants during Fidel Castro's 36-year reign. Print ads are themed "Cuba--you can turn yourself in and get out" and "Catholics and Protestants: Visit the godless."
