CUC International, as expected, said its Entertainment Publications division will be the sales organization for local ads on Cityscape, Microsoft Corp.'s online city entertainment guides. The first city guide will debut in Seattle early next year. Microsoft also plans guides for New York, Boston and San Francisco by mid-year.
"We believe Cityscape will be a compelling promotional vehicle for our merchant network," said Bob Sarkie, president of the CUC division. "We've tested the sales process, and the results were very successful. Restaurateurs showed a strong level of interest in reaching this highly targeted demographic group.".
