CyberGold and CyberCash program tries to spur Web commerce

CyberGold and CyberCash kicked off a program Tuesday that will allow consumers to earn and spend money on the Internet. CyberGold is a Web-based company that pays consumers cash incentives for responding to advertising and marketing offers. CyberCash supplies the backend technology for Internet transactions.

The new service will allow consumers to store CyberGold earnings and purchase items from more than 50 merchants, including ESPNET SportsZone Day Passes and prepaid cellular service from InTouch USA.
