Cybiko, Chicago, on April 1 launches its product of the same name, a handheld wireless device for teens and tweens, in New York area retailers including Noodle Kadoodle, F.A.O. Schwarz and Virgin Megastore. An estimated $6 million campaign by Posnick & Kolker, New York, begins the week of March 27 with radio and Web ads; TV and print start April 10. The tagline is "Transmitting at the frequency of you. Go Cybiko, go wireless.'' KSL Media handles media buying. The $149 device offers wireless connectivity, chat and personal planning functions, as well as interactive gaming. Cybiko launches in Los Angeles in May and nationally shortly thereafter, said company President Don Wisniewski.
