D'Arcy poaches Pace from Ogilvy as European interactive director

LONDON--D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, London, has drafted George Pace from Ogilvy Interactive, Paris, to the new post of regional managing director-interactive at D'Arcy's Marketing Services Group, Europe.

Mr. Pace, 36, will oversee the development of D'Arcy's interactive resources in Europe, with a focus on strengthening D'Arcy's "Centers of Excellence" in major markets for pan-regional clients such as Procter & Gamble Co., Coca Cola Co., Mars, Philips and Fiat. D'Arcy has 77 offices in 42 countries in the region, employing more than 80 interactive specialists.

Effective May 8, Mr. Pace will report to Wendy Riches, president of the D'Arcy Marketing Services Group. He will work closely with John Quarrey, managing director of D'Arcy Marketing Services Group, Europe.

Mr. Pace, an American, joins D'Arcy from Ogilvy Interactive in Paris, where for the last three years he was regional manager and partner, Europe, Africa and the Middle East, overseeing accounts such as IBM Corp. and Ford Motor Co. Prior to that, he served as director of Ogilvy Interactive in New York, where he set up and ran Ogilvy Interactive's Detroit division to handle the Ford.com business.
