NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Bcom3 Group's D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles announced today that it cut approximately 50 jobs from the New York office.
The cuts, representing about 10% of the staff, affect all departments.
"Like many of our
industry peers, we too have felt the impact of current economic conditions," said Lance Smith, President, D'Arcy New York. "We believe this restructuring will allow us to enhance the quality of our service to our clients and position the agency for a brighter future."
The New York office recently lost the $50 million to $75 million Pampers diaper account in North America to Publicis Groupe's Saatchi & Saatchi, New York. D'Arcy also lost the pitch for Earthlink's estimated $50 million creative account to Bcom3 sibling LBWorks.
