In the latest win, Dailey picked up the $15 million account of Health Systems International's Health Net and QualMed health maintenance organizations. Rogge Effler & Partners, Los Angeles, was the previous agency.
Earlier this month, Dailey won the $6 million Celestial Seasonings account from Citron Haligman Bedecarre, San Francisco, and the account of online software provider DemoNet. Some 58 agencies were on the original list to vie to become DemoNet's first agency.
One of Dailey's new clients with the biggest potential for growth, however, is Koo Koo Roo, Los Angeles, a trendy chain featuring a new concept in casual dining such as skinless flame-broiled chicken and freshly cooked side dishes including asparagus and green beans. Although diners bring their own trays along a line, the restaurants feature high-quality offerings.
Koo Koo Roo, whose investors include former Chrysler Corp. Chairman Lee Iacocca, has 20 restaurants in the Los Angeles area and plans to grow to 50 by the end of the year and significantly more next year.
The new-business wins put Dailey's total billings at nearly $200 million.
