'Daily Deal' taps KPE for Web site development

Daily financial newspaper The Daily Deal, wholly owned by U.S. Equity Partners, picked KPE, a New York-based interactive agency, to develop a new Web site, thedeal.com, expected to be launched in September. The Daily Deal first debuted its Web site in September 1999. The new site will expand upon the daily print edition and offer personalized e-mail newsletters, message boards and searchable data. Financial details were not disclosed.
