DaimlerChrysler forms e-unit

Daimler-Chrysler, Stuttgart, on Oct. 9 announced creation of DCX Net Holding, a subsidiary that will oversee all e-business activities, including business-to-business, business-to-consumer and business-to-employee. The auto marketer's new unit will form joint ventures and alliances. Senior VP Gary Dilts will head e-commerce operations, including marketing strategies, for the Chrysler Group in North America. The top executive for outside North America is Senior VP Harold Schuff, who will oversee e-commerce for Mercedes-Benz globally.
