Daisy Brands agrees to modify sour cream ad claims

Published on .

Daisy Brands has agreed to modify its print ads after Kraft Foods challenged the claim that Daisy was "voted America's best tasting sour cream.'' Kraft, which markets sour creams under the Breakstone's and Knudsen brands, maintained that the claim, based on an endorsement by the American Tasting Institute, wasn't based on proper consumer taste-test protocol. Daisy has accepted a recommendation by the National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus to modify the advertising.
