Damark leaves catalog biz, focuses on e-services

Published on .

Damark International is leaving the catalog merchandise and marketing business but will use its customer service and product fulfillment expertise to target the e-business market. The company announced it will create Click Ship Direct to handle business-to-consumer services such as Web site hosting, order fulfillment, inventory, payment processing and returns for Internet companies and consumer goods manufacturers. Approximately 150 positions will be eliminated with the liquidation of the company's catalog business.
