Danskin plans an ad, marketing and promotional campaign featuring Olympic gymnast Nadia Comaneci as spokesperson. Print ads will kick-off in October issues of publications such as Shape, Self and Glamour and show Ms. Comaneci in Danskin activewear coordinates, socks and footwear. Promotions include a contest to give away 3500 autographed posters as well as in-store appearances by Ms. Comaneci. She will also be featured on hang tags and retail point of purchase displays for the "International Gold Collection." The campaign, estimated at $2 million and created by Pagano, Schenk & Kay, Boston, will run through spring of 1996.
