DDB GETS $7 MILLION CAR TOYS ACCOUNT

(May 22, 2001) -- Car Toys, a chain of electronics, wireless phones and other car accoutrements, has awarded its estimated $7 million media account to Omnicom Group's DDB Worldwide Communications Group, Seattle. The other competitor in the review was Sedgwick Rd., Seattle, formerly McCann-Erickson, Seattle.

Car Toys is still in the process of a review for TV creative. Radio creative and media buying is done in house. Car Toys, based in Seattle with 40 stores in four states, plans an agressive national expansion program, Chairman and CEO Dan Brettler said. -- Alice Z. Cuneo
