DDB, Grey, FCB pitch $300 mil Compaq account

Compaq Computer Corp. has called agency finalists back for a second round of presentations in its estimated $300 million global brand review. Incumbent DDB Worldwide, New York, as well as Grey Advertising and FCB Worldwide, both New York and San Francisco, each pitched the week of April 3. Saatchi & Saatchi, also New York and San Francisco, was believed to have been a fourth contender, but denied it. Jones-Lundin Associates, New York, is the consultant.
