DDB to handle international duties for Nortel

Nortel Networks confirmed that Omnicom Group's DDB Worldwide, New York, will service its ad account outside North America, effective immediately (AA, Jan. 22). Nortel's global agency of record, however, remains True North Communications' Temerlin McClain, Irving, Texas, a Nortel spokesman said. Liener Temerlin, agency chairman, said Temerlin initiated the arrangement for DDB to pick up international duties with Nortel's blessing. A Nortel spokesman attributed the shift to the company's escalating global growth
