DDB wins $50 mil Energizer Co. work

Energizer Co. has chosen DDB Worldwide, Chicago, to handle an assignment said to be for a new battery line, code-named E2, to compete against Gillette Co.'s Duracell Ultra. Executives close to the review said it is global and could exceed $50 million in spending. Leo Burnett Co., Chicago, also competed. TBWA/Chiat/Day, Playa del Rey, Calif., continues to handle the $60 million Energizer brand.
