Dell, JWT settle suits

Published on .

Dell Computer Corp., Round Rock, Texas, and New York-based J. Walter Thompson USA settled the respective lawsuits pending against each other. JWT, which was dropped by Dell in September, sued first, seeking $6.4 million. Dell then countersued for an unspecified amount in damages. The details of the settlement weren't disclosed, but the two companies released a statement saying JWT will be paid "an agreed upon amount for the work it performed on the campaign." All other claims have been dropped.
