Dell Web sales booming

Published on .

Dell Computer Corp. Chairman-CEO Michael Dell said the company's sales over the Web are "rapidly approaching" an annualized rate of $500 million a year. That would reaffirm Dell's position as the No. 1 Web commerce site. That is far above the $1 million-a-day level Dell announced earlier this year. In a keynote at PC Expo in New York, Mr. Dell also said "it may be possible" to drive Dell to $50 billion in revenues in the next 10 years. It took Dell 13 years to get to its current $10 billion revenue level.
