Della Femina drops 'Enquirer'

Published on .

Della Femina/Jeary & Partners, New York, resigned American Media's $25 million National Enquirer account due to compensation concerns. The move comes just days after the agency's advertising began running in regional test markets. "Sadly, we simply could not arrive at a mutually agreeable financial arrangement that satisfied the needs of both American Media and our agency," said Della Femina/Jeary President Michael Jeary. The agency will serve as a consultant to American Media until another shop is named to take on the account. Arnell Brand Consulting was awarded American Media's Star account at the same time in June that Della Femina was given the Enquirer. American Media didn't respond by deadline.
