Delta lands at Saatchi

Published on .

Delta Air Lines named Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising, New York, for its $100 million media and creative account. The decision was announced several days early due to "electricity" between the agency and airline. BBDO Worldwide, the 51-year incumbent, dropped out last week; other finalists included Ammirati Puris Lintas and Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, both New York. The win returns Saatchi & Saatchi to the airline category; the agency previously lost long-time client British Airways to M&C Saatchi, London.
