Published on .

Marking its second announcement of a major magazine launch in a week, Dennis Publishing, publishers of Maxim and Stuff, announced it will launch a U.S. version of its British newsweekly This Week in spring 2001.

Mike Lafavore, founding editor of Men's Health, will be the title's general manager; Harold Evans, former president and publisher of Random House and formerly a top exec at Mort Zuckerman'sDaily News, will be its consulting editor. The publication's editor is William B. Falk, a longtime New York-area newspaper man, and Perry W. Gaa, who most recently headed ad sales at Britannica.com, will be the launch publisher.

Initial distribution will be 150,000, and a year's subscription will be $75. Earlier this week, Dennis announced the launch of the music title Blender.
