Dentsu creates global strategy Intranet

TOKYO -- Japanese advertising giant Dentsu Inc. has developed an intranet system that links its offices around the world. The company says the system, branded Global Compass, is the first of its kind in the advertising industry and it will help the agency network develop worldwide strategies for its clients.

The system incorporates Dentsu's proprietary advertising strategy; it integrates research and other data compiled on a local level, and it allows for an exchange of information among offices within the company's intranet system, the company said in a statement.

Dentsu has already been using the system in its offices in Asia.
