(June 5, 2001) -- Several executives are being promoted at Deutsch Inc., a division of the Interpublic Group of Cos.

Linda Sawyer, 40, who has been managing partner-general manager for the agency, becomes chief operating officer.

Four other executives are taking on the managing partner title: Kathy Delaney, 37, executive creative director; Val DiFebo, 39, director of client services; Eric Hirshberg, 32, executive creative director; and Mike Sheldon, 41, general manager of Deutsch L.A.

Additionally, Peter Drakoulias, 41, director of business development, is moving to Deutsch's dRush unit, where he will be president. He will be replaced by Michael Duda, 29, who was most recently director of business development at Rapp Collins. -- Laura Hughes
