Princess Diana's BBC Television interview in London Monday night, in which she cast doubt on her estranged husband Charles' suitability to be king of England and admitted committing adultery, was watched by an estimated 21.1 million people in the U.K.--40% of the population. It was shown simultaneously in another 111 countries via news information channel BBC World, European entertainment channel BBC Prime and news information channel BBC Arabic Television. The interview reportedly was the most watched TV program ever in Australia. The BBC sold the rights to at least 12 foreign broadcasters, including ABC, which will air the interview Friday night.
