(July 25, 2001) -- Traditional and digital media planning and buying agency Digital Edge, New York, part of the WPP Group, announced a deal with Converseon to create an "alternative channels group" within the agency.

Converseon focuses on the "non-paid" side of marketing, including search engine optimization, performance marketing, viral marketing, permission marketing and instant messaging. Under the agreement, Converseon will work with Digital Edge's media strategy group to offer online tools and expand the shop's core services. -- Adrienne Mand
