Digital Impact expands e-mail lists via online referrals

A newly released Digital Impact application targets friends of e-mail recipients as a means of expanding marketers' opt-in e-mail lists. The Forward to a Friend application uses a viral marketing technique that allows recipients to forward a promotional message to as many as 20 friends. Marketers can track e-mail campaign response on the original mailing list as well as following the forwarded messages.
