Direct marketing acquisitions

Acxiom Corp., Conway, Ark., acquired three database marketing units from Deluxe Corp., Shoreview, Minn., in a cash transaction. The three units are expected to produce more than $20 million in revenue in 1999. Deluxe Data Resources, Deluxe MarketWise and Fusion Marketing all specialize in database marketing services to financial services clients. Separately, database marketing company Catalina Marketing Corp., St. Petersburg, Fla., acquired DCI Cardmarketing, a Manasquan, N.J.-based loyalty and database marketing company. DCI was purchased outright for cash, and it will be integrated into Catalina Marketing.
