Disney execs to join Infoseek board

Three top Walt Disney Co. executives are slated to join the board of Internet navigation service Infoseek: ABC Inc. President Robert Iger, ESPN President Steven Bornstein and Buena Vista Internet Group Chairman Jake Winebaum. Disney is acquiring a 43% stake in Infoseek while Infoseek acquires Starwave Corp., majority owned by Disney. The companies plan to launch Go Network, a major Internet portal and gateway to Disney's various Web sites, by the end of the year.
