Disney reorganizes publishing

Walt Disney Co. restructured its New York-based book and magazine publishing divisions. Buena Vista Publishing Group, the U.S. publishing subsidiary, will become Disney Publishing Worldwide, continuing as part of the consumer products division. Steven Murphy, senior VP-Buena Vista, was promoted to senior VP-managing director responsible for the consumer products division's international and domestic publishing. Hyperion, the adult book publishing division, will become a unit of ABC, which also encompasses Fairchild Publications. Robert Miller, VP-group publisher, Buena Vista Book Publishing, was named senior VP-managing director, Hyperion.
