LOS ANGELES-Gary Kalkin, 44, senior VP-domestic marketing at Walt Disney Studios' Buena Vista Pictures Marketing, died Jan. 6 at his home here from complications due to AIDS.

Mr. Kalkin supervised the development and implementation of marketing campaigns for all movies released from Disney and its other movie units, Touchstone Pictures and Hollywood Pictures.

He was also involved in all aspects of publicity, promotion and media scheduling.

During his 10 years at Disney, Mr. Kalkin worked on animated features like "The Lion King" and "The Little Mermaid" and live-action pictures including "Good Morning, Vietnam," "Pretty Woman" and "The Santa Clause."

He also played a key role in launching Disney's stage version of "Beauty & the Beast" on Broadway.
