Direct Marketing Association, New York, said more top children's, business and shopping Web sites are posting their privacy policies online. Seventy percent of Kids Hot 100 Web sites have posted a statement regarding their information practices online vs. 38% in January. Biz Hot 100 from 47% to 64%, and Shopping Hot 100 from 36% to 51%. The Clinton administration has been pressing site operators to self-regulate to avoid federal privacy protection regulation.
