DMA selects Wientzen

The Direct Marketing Association Wednesday named Robert Wientzen president-CEO, effective Oct. 1, from chairman-CEO of Advanced Promotion Technologies. A Procter & Gamble alum with 27 years of direct marketing experience emphasizing database marketing and including general advertising positions, Mr. Wientzen was top candidate among the 200 executives named in a yearlong search handled by DMA and Korn Ferry/International recruitment. He will succeed Jonah Gitlitz, who retires at the end of this year after 11 years with the New York-based association.
