DMA survey finds consumers buying online

A survey of 1,200 online consumers conducted by the Direct Marketing Association found that 58% of respondents made an interactive purchase during the past year, and nearly 40% will purchase online this year. Full results of the survey, conducted in America Online's Opinion Place research area, will be released at the DMA's annual conference in Chicago Oct. 5 to 8.
