DMB&B eases stance against going public

D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles management, which previously firmly denied it would entertain a change in its privately held corporate structure, has acknowledged that it might change direction "if and when" the time was right, agency executives said. The agency recently has increased pressure on managers to boost profits by cutting costs, possibly to improve its profit picture, one executive said.
