Dodge ties into Crayola magazine

Meredith Publishing Services, which is producing Crayola for Kids under license with Binney & Smith, maker of Crayola products, said Chrysler Corp.'s Dodge unit has signed on as a sponsor for 500,000 copies of a customized edition of the magazine that will be distributed on United Airlines flights from Aug. 1 to Dec. 31. The customized edition will carry three pages of advertising for the Dodge minivan and will also offer a special four-page section of in-flight activities. Ordinarily, the magazine is published six times a year with distribution of 350,000 copies.
