Milt Gossett Advertising Workshop offers intensive three-day workshop for multicultural college juniors at some of New York's top agencies. AAF-affiliated local ad clubs have grant-supported minority scholarships and internships.
American Association of Advertising Agencies' Multicultural Advertising Intern Program

Paid summer internships are available to minority students interested in a career in advertising. Depending on area of interest, a participant may work in different areas of the agency such as account management, broadcast production, creative, interactive technologies, media, research, print production or traffic. Interns in New York and Chicago are assigned mentors. After the program, a resume book of MAIP graduates is available to employers. Program held June 7 through Aug. 13.
Association of National Advertisers

ANA accepts students interested in marketing or communications to assist in the Information Center or communication department in areas of communications, database management, intranet development, PR and special projects. Spring, summer and fall internships can be awarded for school credit. The program is not designed specifically for minorities.
Boston Ad Club/Ad Club Foundation
Ad Club Foundation Summer Internship Program

The eight-week paid internship is available to minority college students studying or interested in advertising or communications. The foundation places 30 participants in various New England agencies and media outlets. Program held June 7 through July 30. Application deadline is March 15.
Chicago Advertising Federation's Partnership for Success

Paid summer internship program allows minority students to explore account management, media, creative, planning, corporate communications and production areas of advertising in prominent Chicago agencies. Interns are mentored through a structured program. Program held June 7 through Aug. 13.

Career development organization for minorities places eligible high school and college students in long-term, yearround paid internships with partnering corporations. Interns receive academic instruction, training, coaching and mentoring from staff advisers and corporate volunteers.
Magazine Publishers of America Publishing Management Course for Diversity

A seminar-type program for minority candidates experienced in publishing is designed to explore various functional areas of publishing and broaden the view of the industry. During the weeklong session, the 20 participants work on three case studies and present final recommendations to a panel of judges. Program held June 6 through 12. Application deadline is May 15.
