DoubleClick announces wider-than-expected loss

Online ad network DoubleClick announced in a conference call Dec. 11 a three-cent-per-share loss, rather than the two-cent-per-share loss that was expected. DoubleClick, which laid off about 10 percent of its staff last week, also said its fourth-quarter revenues would be 8 percent to 9 percent percent below current projections.
