(July 25, 2001) -- DoubleClick, New York, has begun layoffs it said it would carry out during its second-quarter financial report July 11. A spokeswoman confirmed that the layoffs had begun but wouldn't disclose how many of the company's 1,700 employees were affected. She would not comment on whether more job cuts are to come. -- Adrienne Mand
