DoubleClick names seven to privacy board

DoubleClick, under fire for its consumer privacy policies, appointed seven new members to its Consumer Privacy Advisory Board, an independent board of consumer advocates, security experts and authorities in the field of online privacy. Joining the board are Lori Fena, chairman-co-founder, TRUSTe; Daniel J. Weitzner, technology and society domain leader, World Wide Web Consortium; Elizabeth Lascoutx, director, Children's Advisory Review Unit and VP-Council of Better Business Bureaus; Robert Litan, VP-director of economic studies, Brookings Institution; David Stazer, VP-product development/strategy and co-founder, PlanetOut.com; Harriet P. Pearson, IBM public affairs director; and Stewart Baker, partner, Steptoe & Johnson.
