The company is making an unspecified number of jobs redundant and will try and relocate affected staff to other areas within the company where possible, confirms a company spokesman. No other details are being released at present.
A company statement said: "We are seeing a slowdown in online media spending across Europe, which is in direct proportion to the overall weak ad market. As a result, DoubleClick is making the necessary business changes throughout Europe in order to align headcount with a division that is expected to represent less than 15% of DoubleClick's overall revenue in 2001."
