Dr Pepper/Seven Up targets urban teens for the first time with two upbeat spots for Dr Pepper from Richards Group's Shift Advertising unit, Dallas, a new roster agency. The ads break in January along with three new spots from general-market agency Y&R Advertising, New York. All carry a new theme, "Dr Pepper makes the world taste better." Officials said ad spending would increase 5% in 2000.
