Dr Pepper/Seven Up, Dallas, the U.S. beverage unit of Cadbury Schweppes, is restructuring its marketing team with promotions of company insiders into new positions. The moves are part of a larger reorganization that includes trimming some 10% of its overall workforce. A company spokeswoman said ad spending will not be impacted by the changes, nor will the company's long-term relationship with its agency, Y&R Advertising, New York. John Clarke, 52, was promoted to the new position of chief advertising officer, Dr Pepper/Seven Up from senior VP-brand Dr Pepper marketing. He was also named to the company's board of directors. Cynthia Clark, 40, formerly VP-brand Dr Pepper marketing, was named to succeed Mr. Clarke as senior VP. Kim Feil, 38, was named to the new position of senior VP-strategic planning, from senior VP of the company's Cadbury Beverages/Seven Up division. James Trebilcock, 39, was named to replace Ms. Feil. His former position of senior VP-marketing services for Dr Pepper/Seven Up, was eliminated.
