Bank branches in supermarkets are nothing new, but now Wells Fargo Bank and the Thrifty PayLess drug chain say they plan a pilot program in which Thrifty PayLess stores would occupy space inside five of the bank's branches in California. The 3,000- to 10,000-squaref-foot locations inside existing Wells Fargo branches will include a pharmacy and carry basic drug store items.
