Published on .

James Dunning, the dealmaker behind the $1.5 billion sale of Petersen Publishing to Emap in January, will leave his post as chairman-CEO of Emap Petersen, New York, to pursue other media investments. Tom Maloney moves to CEO of Emap Petersen from chief operating officer; Kevin Hand, Emap group chief executive, takes the chairman title. Mr. Dunning recently launched a subscription marketing company called USApubs.com. Industry insiders said Mr. Dunning is interested in acquiring Ziff-Davis, now on the block.
