DuPont, Saatchi extend relationship

E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co. has expanded its relationship with Saatchi & Saatchi, New York, with a new global assignment to promote the use of Teflon in fabrics. Saatchi & Saatchi/Rowland, New York, will handle trade and consumer advertising, collateral, direct marketing, public relations and sales support to expand Teflon's position as a fabric protector in upholstery and apparel. Billings were not disclosed.

Saatchi already handles several DuPont products, including its Lycra fabric. DuPont has worked for the past few years to expand the use of Teflon by licensing the product in a variety of household and apparel uses.
