VIENNA/HAMBURG--Publishing group News Vienna launches on May 15 the fortnightly Internet magazine E-Media,
priced at $1. The magazine will cover the Internet, e-shopping, software, PCs, PC games, multi-media and mobile phones. Originally, the publishers had planned to print 65,000 copies for the first edition, but boosted the print run to 200,000 after favorable response from the retail trade. Strong ad sales pushed the first issue up to 365 pages. The magazine claims to already have 25,000 subscribers. The Vienna publisher is majority-owned by Germany's Gruner & Jahr.
