Earle Palmer buys U.K. agency

Earle Palmer Brown, Bethesda, Md., has acquired the Square, London, an agency with approximately $40 million in billings and clients including Coty Cosmetics, Marriott Resort Hotels and Peugot. Terms were not disclosed.

The agency, previously owned by TMP Worldwide, will be the first EPB office outside the U.S. Creative Director Gary Walton will stay with the agency, but Managing Director David Thornton will leave; a search is on for a successor.
