US Airways said it is moving forward for an early 1998 launch of its low-cost airline brand, still under the name US2. Separate brand identity, marketing, scheduling and service style is planned. Led by Michael Scheeringa, currently US Airways director-international, US2 will operate out of Baltimore/Washington International Airport and compete directly with Delta Express, Southwest Airlines and others. McCann-Erickson Worldwide, New York, is US Airways' agency.
