Economist snares Kissinger

Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger will appear in a U.K. TV commercial for The Economist. The eight-week campaign features a businessman settling down to enjoy an international flight when he realizes with terror that Mr. Kissinger will be his seatmate. The commercial plays on the businessman's fear of having to hold his own in conversation with such an intellect, and offers the Economist as a means for businessmen to be well informed. Tagline is, "Ready for a good chat?" Agency is Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, London.
