Edmunds.com unveils free, standardized data

Edmunds.com, a site devoted to automotive information, is introducing a wholly owned subsidiary, Edmunds Data Services, that will provide free, standardized industry information to consumers via its own site and partner Web sites. The subsidiary aims to create a universal standard for new and used vehicle pricing, specifications and incentive information; the company has already signed contracts with several automotive marketers for direct feed of this specialized data.
